This is how to top up your BIGtionär account
You can top up your points account for BIGtionär in many different ways. Important: anyone can earn points, whether they are for preventative care or for doing sports. We have drawn up a list for you here of how many points are awarded for what.

Conditions for payment
Prevention and health screening play a key role in BIGtionär. There are two conditions for payment of the bonus:
- Attendance at 2 health screening exams and/or preventative measures at least (e.g. one health screening exam + one course for health promotion, or 2 health screening exams or 2 courses for health promotion)
- At least 2,500 points (= 25 euro) within one accounting period
Health Assessment counts as preventative care
- Enrolment for the Health Assessment (BIGprohealth) (German Language)
Just provide proof of the measures
If you have had a health screening or taken part in a sports activity, you can simply register the programme using the online form or upload the proof of attendance. It is only the Health Assessment at BIGprohealth that is registered automatically. In the case of courses for health promotion, please send us proof of your attendance.

Your appointments for preventive care
Points for health screening exams are not credited automatically after your appointment at the doctor’s. Please enter each health screening exam on our online form.
Bonuses and your income tax return
Since 2010 you can deduct in full the premiums you pay for health insurance from your tax. If you receive a reimbursement, e.g. for participating in the bonus plan, this is deducted from the amount you have paid in premiums as it is deemed income for tax purposes. BIG notifies the tax office of the amount reimbursed, making reference to your taxpayer identification number, which we request from the German pension office (Zentrale Zulagenstelle für Altersvermögen – ZfA). Of course, you will be informed of which amounts were notified to the authorities.
