Cancer screening services at a glance
The following cancer screening exams are included in BIG’s range of benefits:
- annual cancer screening exam (for women over the age of 20 and men over the age of 45)
- skin cancer screening (one screening every two years for all policyholders over the age of 35, even earlier in some German states, see box with links below)
- vaccination against cervical cancer (female policyholders aged between 9 and 26 years)
- mammography screening (for women between the age of 50 and 69)
- examination of the colon and rectum (annually from the age of 50)
- enteroscopy (two exams at an interval of 10 years from the age of 55)
