Preventive care for burnout – learning to cope with stress
Burnout is an illness that can affect anyone who frequently feels exposed to stress and under too much pressure in everyday life. This is why we have developed an effective programme for preventing burnout in collaboration with the Möhnesee Clinic.
Effective preventive care: seven days of Relax BIG
In the one-week Relax BIG programme, people who are at risk of burnout learn how to consciously manage stress in everyday life and how to rethink their own patterns of behaviour. Indications of impending burnout may, for instance, be a lack of motivation, less ability to cope both on the professional and the private level or slight feelings of depression. However the programme is also suitable as a preventive measure if you are feeling healthy and able to cope with pressure and want to improve your psychophysical stability. In this case we offer you:
- Short medical check up by doctor
- Relax BIG discussion groups on specific subjects
- Health promotion classes
- Various relaxation methods
- Group bodywork therapy (e.g. yoga, dance, water shiatsu)
- Sport and movement therapy
- Practical instruction in “Healthy cooking together”

We are the first health insurance fund to offer this integrated care concept in conjunction with the Möhnesee Rehabilitation Clinic. Scientific monitoring and accompaniment of the project is provided by the research group Pflege und Gesundheit e. V.
